Hiyo everybody in Internetland! Just making a brief update. I made another short Spark Comic. This one is a parody of Scott Pilgrim. It basically shows what I think everyone's reaction would be if your girlfriend asked you to defeat her 7 evil exes... Or at least my reaction.

I'm going to the Scott Pilgrim Volume 6 Midnight Release Party at The Beguiling on Monday with some friends. It should (hopefully) be awesome!

I am OFFICIALLY done High School... as of 2 weeks ago. I did pretty well in everything (Except for Data Management, but I didn't do that bad) and have all my credits. Plus an extra credit from Co-Op since that was SO much extra I had to put up with. Now I am off to Ryerson University's New Media Program. I am so stoked for it.

Lately, I've been getting to things I had no time to do when school was in session. Mostly its been this comic that I just finished. It's a parody of Pokemon. Basically, there's this weird move one of the wild pokemon used called Worry Seed. It doesn't cause damage or anything, it just gives my Pokemon Insomnia... Which is pretty damn useless. It was an odd attack and for something called Worry Seed it doesn't cause that much to worry about. And thus this comic was born out of the idea of the worries that might come with Worry Seed. Its my 3rd comic. Check it out and give me feedback.

ITS FINALLY MOTHERF***ING OVER!!!!

IT'S EXAM TIEM! I have 3 exams English, Economics and Data Management. I just finished the English one yesterday with the latter two being on next Monday and Thursday.

I'm very nervous and excited. English was a breeze and it's my best subject so I'm not worried. Data and Economics I'm worried for. I'm not particularly good at either of them and they're both in the 70s so I have to keep them there... Although I have to up my percentage in Data by about 3% or I might have issues with my Ryerson acceptance. >_<a fter that I will be OFFICIALLY DONE HIGH SCHOOL!!! I'm so excited! My last full day was on Wednesday. It's so weird and surreal to be saying that I'm finally done. I thought it would never happen!

Now I gotta stop procrastinating and get to studying! I'm procrastinating just making this post! >_<

Today, they released my SparkComic #2 - Flatlined comic in the school newspaper. Everyone loved it. The entire school seems to agree with my comic that asks the question, "Why the f*** do we have a new TV for the foyer?"

After school, the school principal caught me in the hallway while I was getting ready to film a school project. She started talking about she was so offended by the comic and that the TV wasn't bought with school money (As if that really justifies the TV or solves the issue I'm pointing out), all while talking to me like I'm 5-years old. Really, the way she explained it was obviously bogus and contradicted the statement she made on my comic in the newspaper that the TV was a gift. Honestly, I didn't believe a word that came out of her mouth. Plus, in the newspaper, that note I was talking about where she "claimed" the TV was a gift covered my websites at the bottom so I was a bit sour about that. Still, I managed to make a comic that royally pissed off my principal... MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!!!

Comic Attack!

YES!!! FUCK YES!!!

Last week, I accepted the wait list offer to Ryerson. Today, I checked my Ryerson account, even though I was sure that nothing had changed, and imagine my delight to see that I got a conditional offer of acceptance to Ryerson - New Media, my #1 choice!!! I'm so excited!!! Now I don't have to go to York Digital Media and do a crap load of math for it (Don't ask how math suddenly become so important to an Fine Arts program).

I am a happy Spark! :D

Ryerson! FUCK YEAH!

Finished that new flash I was talking about; the short one. My Second Animation, Halo's Halo, is just a random idea I had after hearing Halo by Beyonce. I was surprised I hadn't seen any Halo (game) videos with the song so I said, "Oh, what the heck." Plus it gave me an excuse to dive in and test out the features of Flash CS4 during my ever busy schedule. So far it's not being that well received, but I'm not really bothered by it. I wasn't really trying hard to make this. It's just a test.

Speaking of, the Halo Reach Beta is actually pretty fun. It has its issues, but it's a Beta so I'm not too hard on it. My favorite new ability is the Guard Lock. I love it! It's so awesome being shot/grenaded/about to be run over and then you just punch the ground and save yourself. When I do that, I like saying, "I AM IRON MAN!"... Don't ask. Elites are kinda cheap with their constant Barrel Rolls though.

Let's go HALOING!!!

After about a month of procrastination, I finally got back to animating after abandoning Flash for god knows how long. Anyway, I had small idea I started to animate before my "Flash hiatus" but left it alone like everything else I was working on while I dealt with school and whatever. So since it requires less effort, is short and I have almost no time to do a worthwhile animation right now, I'm going to do it first before the other two aforementioned flashes I was going to do. (One of them is, I'd say half done)

Sadly, it does not feature Shad. However, more Shad stuff is on the way... If I can find the time.

...For me to get off my ass and make a new flash cartoon. I have one in the works, but I haven't worked on it in like a month because of my endless amount of school work (Which is ironically what made The Legend Of Shad take a year to make). I feel like I'm getting some of my artistic mojo back so I'm definitely gonna start back up soon.

It's very short and it's based on an internet meme. I didn't want to go for a serious project like The Legend Of Shad because I think I should do a small things to practice my animating skills before dedicating myself to another big project since I ironically started with a big project and then it took me almost a year to get my first Shad cartoon out. Rest assured though, it shall feature the lovable Shad.

Still kinda surprised that people loved the character so much in The Legend Of Shad. I liked animating him so I'm glad he's becoming likable so he has longevity. Lately, I've been trying to design characters that would fit into the simple design of Shad's world like Block-Head and Toyo, but I have many sketches which are kinda bad ideas. Hopefully I come up with a few because I would love to expand on the world of Shad and add new characters.

Until next time, adios!

P.S. Is anyone reading this?

Well my Co-Op at Spin is over now, since a few weeks ago, and I have since gotten my mark back for my Co-Op Final Project. The Legend Of Shad along with my research, Concept Art, and an animation tutorial video (which I won't be posting on the internet) ended up getting me... 100%on the final project. Seriously! She said I was the only one with 100% on the project! I was ecstatic. Although, my happiness kinda drowned a bit as my final mark was an 81. Good, but kinda disappointing. The mark dropped because I forgot to fill out something on my last assignment (not my final) that I said I was gonna get back to and handed it in in a hurry which got a low mark (my fault) although, that was a small mark which didn't count for too much. The main reason it dropped was because of the relatively low marks I kept getting from my supervisor throughout the course in a sea of 80s - 100s that was my average. Why? I don't know. She never seemed to like me too much. On the up-side it was one of the highest marks in the class. I think only 2 or 3 other people got higher than me. ^_^

Anyway, I'll be working on more Shad adventures. Probably switching genres as I think Shad is a very versatile little guy and can be put into a variety of subjects, although I think the "Legend of Shad" deserves to be revisited at some point. I'll try to start as soon as I get a break from all the non-stop work this semester, it's really tiring. How much do you wanna bet that, just like the Legend Of Shad, the next Shad animation will be started during the March Break?

The Mark Of Shad

Today, I presented The Legend Of Shad to an audience consisting of peers in my Co-Op class. It was quite a success. People seemed to laugh, even at the JoJo's Bizzare Adventure reference that nobody could get.

Afterwards I showed a tutorial video I had edited together and passed around some concept sketches and my mini-sketchbook from last year. Everyone seemed quite impressed. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out.

Hope I get a great mark!
